Goods that outlived
their inventors
老字号 · 仍在做的东西
Some Chinese workshops have kept the same methods for two hundred years. We write up what they make, who makes it, and how it is still used today — then, in time, we sell a small selection of it. Every entry names its source.

What this is
Time-Honored Goods is an independent editorial archive and — in time — a small store, built around goods from China's time-honored houses (老字号): workshops and brands recognised by China's Ministry of Commerce for their history, technique and continuity.
We publish the archive first: who the house is, when it was founded, what it makes, and what still survives. Product listings follow, in small numbers, bought to order. Nothing here is a claim of official affiliation.
